Goosebumps...

John Mayer is in Australia at the moment so I felt inspired to share one of my all time favourite YouTube videos from him (a cover of Justin Timberlake's "Love Stoned/I think that she knows" interlude).
It honestly gives me goosebumps every time! EVERY single time.

Do you have any songs or music that automatically sends shivers down your spine!???
Whether it be because it brings back certain memories or just the pure magic of it I'm sure you all have at least one.
Let us know!!! :)

Oh and don't forget to enter my giveaway if you haven't already done so! (Link is on the side bar...)
It ends tomorrow and I'll be drawing the winner at random on Monday so I can post the prize out early next week!

Bling-bling with BITE! The Jules Smith "New Moon" Jewellery collection...

I have to admit I am not a crazy obsessive fan of Twilight...

I mean yeah I liked the movie, and I guessssss Edward Cullen is pretty hot for a vampire and all that ;) And sure the books are something to read on a rainy day... but I can't say I would stay up all night reading them instead of losing some precious shut eye!

Is there something wrong with me?
Possibly... lol I'm pretty sure I'm out numbered when it comes to NOT being a huge Twilight fan. j
However I have to admit when I saw this quirky Twilight "New Moon" jewellery collection from Jules Smith I suddenly wanted to get in on the action!

I love bracelets and bangles and putting things on my wrist- whether it be woven friendship type bands, leather wraps, pearl bracelets or chunky bangles, you name it- if it goes on your wrist chances are I'll want it! So when I saw the jelly bracelets from this collection I knew I had to have one... Twilight obsessed or not!

I just ordered my New Moon Jelly Bracelet from Miijo.
The collection is currently on a Pre-Order basis only atm BUT if you order by this Sunday 8th of November and enter the following code [XMAS09] (thank you Twitter!) you will recieve 15% off!!!!!!!!!

Now that is definitely something to sink your teeth into!

FOTD: "Russian Doll"...

After recieving a gorgeous pair of Babushka Doll earrings that I ordered from MadeIt I felt inspired to create a "Russian Doll" look.

Seeing as I'm pretty neutral when it comes to my makeup for daily work wear I didn't want to go too over the top... however I just had to go all out with the lips.
After all what Russian look would be complete without bright red lips!?

The best primer EVER...

I am really fussy when it comes to primers.
I have tried a few on the market and usually after about a week or so using the product it ends up in the bottom of my drawer because I just can't bring myself to like it enough to continue using it.

I have tried Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, Napoleon Perdis Auto-Pilot Foundation Primer, Revlon Foundation Primer and Becca Mineral Primer with SPF 30+ to name a few- all which weren't cheap.

So after reading rave reviews about "Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch Primer" I just had to try it!

Here it is described on Adore Beauty...

"Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch is the modern, magic, make-up base that smoothes away lines, pores and imperfections instantly! Formulated with innovative line-filling technology to reveal a complexion that’s practically perfect. Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch is perfect for all skin types. Silky-smooth and oil-free, it virtually becomes one with the skin. Use alone or under foundation.

Beauty Benefits :

• Smoothes away the appearance of lines, pores and imperfections.
• Helps balance skin’s hydration.
• Protects against harmful free radicals.

Cost: $38 (Australian)

Sounds too good to be true right!??
WRONG! I am seriously so picky with primers- I usually hate the feeling of them on my face- it's hard to explain but that sort of oily and fakish film across my skin, yuck.
But this product just feels like another soft and supple layer of moisture on your skin! Plus it gives you a perfectly flawless finish.
I am in L♥VE.

And if you need a littleee more convincing take a look at these reviews I borrowed from here...

"An extraordinary primer that lives up to it's name. Instant smooth perfecting touch (oil free) priming cream glides on like satin, leaving my skin feeling so soft and ready for the next step. This dream cream is an absolute must in your vanity draw, as it makes for easier application of your make up. My make up stays in place and keeps on looking fresh all day. A big thumbs up for this clever complexion perfecter".

"This is such an amazing primer. It does a wonderful job at helping to minimize the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores. Foundation glides on effortlessly over the top and stays put all day. Will definitely repurchase this primer again".

"This is the best primer on the market; it doesn't have the silicone-film like the others do, it smooths imperfections even if you don't use a foundation - another winner for Clarins!"

"This is the best primer on the market... Trust me I've tried them all. For the price you really can't go wrong, other primers are much more expensive and don't work any better. It makes your skin so smooth that you can't stop touching it!"

"I love this soft, silky paste,it fills in my horrid forehead frown line, makes the pores next to my nose disappear and allows my concealer to glide over it.I only wish it came in a bigger jar!!"

If you're on the look out for a new primer, I promise you won't be disapointed :)

Halloween... Spooky, creepy and just plain twisted...

Unfortunately we don't celebrate Halloween 'down under' but I thought seeing as most of you guys do I would get in on the action and post a few spooky things for fun...

A little while ago I did a creepy look using the following Sleeping Beauty image as inspiration...

This image comes from a range of Disney Princess images that have been edited to a creepy Tim Burton style effect. I'm not even sure where I found these images now (somewhere on the web whilst I was probably procrastinating or bored) but they are seriously cool and perfect to share for Halloween...
Gawsh, what happened to the cute guppy we all know and love?

And I don't know about you but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be whistling on my way to work if I came across that version of Doc or Dopey in a dark alley!

Happily ever after indeed!
Yikes!

Now I don't know about anyone else but I have had my fair share of bumps in the night!
I am a total sucker for hearing things whilst lying awake in bed at night and always thinking the worst straight away. When I was a kid I used to freak out about getting up to go to the toilet in the middle of the night in fear that something under my bed would grab my feet as soon as I put them down onto the carpet!

Now even though I'm all grown up now but I have the odd freak-out moment. More recently was earlier this year during summer...
My best friend and I were home alone at my parents house having a movie night featuring "The Strangers" with Liv Tyler. We were psyching ourselves up to watch it because we had heard that it was utterly terrifying!

It was about 11pm at night and we had pressed play ready to watch. As it began (complete with eerie music, etc- you know the horror movie drill!) we heard this loud and I mean LOUD banging at the front door.
We both looked at each other thinking wtf. My sister who was in the shower came out with the same expression- even she had heard this deafening banging in the shower. We paused the DVD and finally mustered the courage to go to the front door and peak out of the glass panelling (whilst holding fire pokers, a knife sharpening contraption and god knows what else for "protection" lol).
We couldn't see anyone outside but could see something laying on the grass which looked really suss. I know it seems stupid but at the time we were freakin’ out majorly so I rang my parents who said ring the police as there had been disturbances around the neighbourhood of late.
So we rang the police who came around to check the place out. They had these huge torches and things seeing as my parents’ backyard is like the Bermuda Triangle. They didn't find anything and turns out the thing on the yard was a vodka UDL can lol so I'm guessing it was a bunch of teenage boys playing a prank. I'm pretty sure the police thought we were total fools lol so now when I look back it's pretty funny but I tell you, at the time we were completely spooked!

The most disturbing part of the night though??? Well that would be the humiliation of a young spunky police man questioning me in the garage whilst I was barefoot, wearing cupcake pyjamas and no bra (you forget these things when you fear for your life you know lol)... shame.

Okay but now it is YOUR turn
Tell us, what is YOUR finest tale of terror?!
Tell us your spookiest real-life story :)

Oh and for those who celebrate
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!
